Intuitive Pediatric Occupational Therapy
Helpful Insights, Positive Outcomes
About Stacey Silver
I am a board-certified Occupational Therapist in Maryland and the District of Columbia. I have over 17 years of experience working in many different settings including private clinics, public schools, and hospitals. I have treated children with sensory processing issues, developmental delays, and a variety of other diagnoses.
I hold a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Boston University, Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, and a Bachelor of Arts from Brandeis University with a concentration in psychology.
I have taken continuing education courses in sensory integration, Handwriting Without Tears, therapeutic yoga, Integrated Listening System, play-based therapy, and The Power of the Mind in Healing: Foundations in Integrative Health. I completed a 13-week Parent-Child Interactive Therapy module (PCIT http://www.pcit.org/what-is-pcit.html) with my husband and daughter and use PCIT skills when working with children.
My professional credentials and experiences, however, only tell part of the story. I’m a mom to two girls who are the lights of my world. Since my children were born, I’ve primarily focused on being the best parent to them, while I continue to stay active as an OT. Over time, I have started to merge my parenting experience, OT training and expertise, and advocacy skills to guide my children and my clients.
